Convert Mail mailbox folder to PDF

I need to convert mailbox folder into PDF format to send to someone. If I use Export Folder option, it's in mbox format. I cannot find way to convert to PDF.

This method converts all selected emails into separate PDF files, but it is the fastest built-in way to export a whole folder.

Open the Mail App on your Mac.

Select the Mailbox/Folder: In the Mail sidebar, click the folder (mailbox) you want to convert (e.g., your Inbox).

Select the Emails:

Click on the first email in the list.

To select all emails in the folder, press Command (⌘) + A.

To select multiple non-consecutive emails, hold down the Command (⌘) key while clicking each email.

To select a range of emails, click the first one, hold down the Shift key, and click the last one.

Export as PDF:

In the menu bar at the top of your screen, click File.

Select Export as PDF...

Choose Location and Save:

A dialog box will open. Select the location where you want to save the files (e.g., Desktop or Documents).

Click the Save button.

The Mail app will save each selected email as a separate, fully formatted PDF file in the location you chose.

If you need the emails to be a single, multi-page PDF document, you can use a slightly different process:

  1. Follow Steps 1 through 3 above to select your emails.
  2. In the menu bar, click File.
  3. Select Print... (or press Command (⌘) + P).
  4. In the print dialog box that appears, look for the PDF dropdown menu in the bottom-left corner.
  5. Click the PDF dropdown and select Save as PDF...
  6. The system will combine all the selected emails into a single PDF document. Give it a name and click Save.
