How do I fix text being covered by sender's icon in Messages on watchOS 26.1?

After updating to watchOS 26.1, I can no longer properly read my Messages. The text is literally covered by the sender’s icon, making it very difficult to read or reply. I’ve tried tapping, scrolling, but the issue persists.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or is there a known fix?

That's odd. Does it persist after restarting your Watch?
