Since ages I copy edits from a photo and paste them to another one (or more). Since yesterday that function stopped working on my iMac Pro. It works fine on my iPhone 15 Pro. A restart of the app or the iMac Pro doesn't change anything.

Thank you for thinking with me! Last night, I had an automatic update of the macOs to Sequoia 15.7.2 but that was not the issue. Found out what was going on: I compared the white balance temperature of the photos after pasting. While copying, the click box 'adaptive' is on by default. I set it off and all goes like I wanted now!
I'm copying and pasting edits just fine with Sequoia.
You've been doing this a long time, so the first thing to check is: how much free storage do you have on your iMac? On my 1 TB MacAir, I find crazy things begin to happen with less than 150 GB free.
Which system version is running on your Mac?
I tested the copying of adjustments on my Mac with macOS 26 Tahoe, and it is still working as expected. I could copy the selective color adjustments, the definition, vibrance, modifications of the histogram, just as described here: Editing basics in Photos on Mac - Apple Support
Note: You can’t copy and paste the settings from the retouch tool, red-eye tool, crop tool, or third-party extensions.
In what way is it no longer working on your Mac?
Is the command to copy the adjustments no longer available? Or the command to paste them? Or are you seeing no effect when you try to paste adjustments?
What kind of adjustments are you trying to copy and paste?

Right. I haven't decided if I like it. Mostly, with pictures taken at the same place and time, adaptive is unnecessary. Other times, it seems to "adapt" wrong. Sometimes it helps. Oh, well…
Histogram, light, colour adjustments. No effect trying to paste. Not with right-click, not with Shft-Cmd-V. It does work on my iPhone 15 Pro. I’ve done this before a million times.
