iOS 26.1 delays in receiving 2FA texts

Ever since I updated to 26.1 certain messages (only 2FA) are massively delayed. Regular iMessages, RCS, and SMS seem to flow fine but every 2FA (Typically from online banking, credit cards, etc) are delayed by 2-12 hours. They don’t show up in messages spam either, they are just out in the ether somewhere. I have done force reboot, airplane mode and reset network. I’ve got an iPhone 17 Pro Max running 26.1 on t-mobile with 140G/256G space used.

Has anyone seen this? Any ideas?

here is a typical example.

I got on the line with T-Mobile and they ended up having to remove and re-add my eSim. It may have been a T-Mobile issue, but the problem started with 26.1 install. My guess is that it messed up something about the eSim during the install.

Report the issue to Tmobile that is a service you pay and is provided by them.

Nothing to do with ios or Apple. This has happen to me before but doesn't bother me enough to contact my carrier.

I just wait until they resolve the issue.
