Unfortunately we do not get any inside information that has not already been disclosed by Apple and for the next Sequoia update there has not been anything I have seen publicly. MacOS 15.7.3 is in the Release Candidate stage, but we are unable to comment on the version because it still is protected under the beta rules on disclosure. You could allow the beta updates to find out, but would not recommend that on a primary device. For most waiting is the best option, instead of using a beta.

Since the BackgroundShortcutRunner issue you are referring to is not seen by most users running the latest Sequoia OS, I am not even sure if an update is the fix you are looking for. The actual number of users that are seeing that is very small, which makes it more likely to be a local issue than an OS that would be affecting everyone.

In your case, I am not convinced that the issue is not related to your Fusion Drive failing and that has been seen by others, but not all. I do hope there is some resolution for you, but don't know if an OS update is the answer.

I don’t think so either, DriveDx show the drive is OK. You saw the Etrecheck report. I did see yesterday, in activity monitor showed a kext, shortcut running at 99%. I restarted and the same file was low after waiting a few minutes to pull it up and it like 3.7 %. There is something running for 3-5 minutes after login. After that it is fine and running as expected. I know the fsck command can be used like check disk does to windows. But check disk can be ran within Windows. I just wish I can pinpoint the problem. We know the process is the problem.
