Photos app complication

When I share my photos with any third party app now, I have to keep redirecting to the Recents folder (where the pictures are because I don't want to create folders and subfolders as apple want me to.)

So my question: is there a way to make the 'Recent' folder the default folder, rather than having to go to collections and library and then back to select recents, and select then the photo, every single time I share a picture?

Before the update, the app went straight to the Recents - obviously the default at the time - is there any way to reinstate it, as I really don't want the trouble I have to go to now when I am regularly sharing photos into an app.

Do Apple realise how utterly counter intuitive and unworkable the current system now is?? Or are they eliminating choice with every update, so photos are arranged according to Apple's stipulation, rather than by user choice as it used to be?? Thx
