Help: 10,000 iCloud Photos Disappeared after the new update

About 10,000 of my photos have disappeared from the cloud, probably ever since I did the new update.

Has anyone managed to solve the same problem? Unfortunately, I have already contacted Apple support, and they weren't able to resolve the issue, as I did the update back around mid-September.
