Problems with macOS Sequoia 15.7.1

Hi, recently I've noticed some problems on my MacBook Pro 13-inch with intel i5 1,4 GHz, RAM 16 GB and 256 GB of storage.

I know my Mac is a little dated, but I don't need an upgrade right now, so 2 months ago I've updated to macOS Sequoia 15.7.1, the last supported macOS update.

Since then, I've got some problems, when I wake up my Mac, the finger print unlock is not working instantly and that is strange, secondly, the battery is draining a little to fast, I know it's aged but this is also strange.

Last thing, while I'm charging my Mac it heats up the CPU always between 70-90 °C and opening Activity Monitor I noticed some processes using a lot of CPU "tccd", "contactsd", "corespotlightd" and "fileproviderd".

I've never experienced this before, the only thing differente from my past use is an "Exchange" account form my university mail.

I don't know what to do, I've restarted my Mac various times but this is not working, I've tried to kill the processes and disable some features from my accounts in mail and calendar but nothing is woking.

Should I try to reinstall macOS?

if anyone has experienced similar issues, please help me or give me advice.

thanks

The Touch ID issue has been reported multiple times on this forum, both in Tahoe and Sequoia. I suspect it will be fixed in Tahoe 26.1, not sure if Apple will update Sequoia further but hopefully.

Bugs can be reported to Apple here:

The overactive processes would account for the faster battery discharge. See if the problem with overactive processes is present when you boot in safe mode, which disables 3rd party extensions and performs some system cleanup.
