Clean my Mac shows constant high temperature for my CPU , is this correct?

I installed clean my Mac a few weeks ago, now I notice that it shows my processor temperature as critically high, all of the time.

See screenshot after the computer was idle for 1 hour.

iMac 24″, macOS 15.6

Standard Warning:

Never install any app that claims to “clean up”, “tune up” or “speed up” your Mac. These apps exist for one reason: to extract money from the wallets of the inexperienced user. What they do can be done in other ways, and mostly what they do is unnecessary, but sounds good. Unfortunately in the hands of an inexperienced user they can do a lot of damage to a Mac OS installation. Avoid.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS,  is an invitation for disaster.

Certain Applications maybe available on the Apple Apps Store - this only means the Developer is prepared to pay Apple a percentage on each sale.

Disk Cleaner

CleanMyMac , aka “ BrickMyMac

PS - the computer will never be the same after using this type of Application

My colleague @ Ingo2711 has suggested 1 of 2 methods to resolve this issue probably caused by CleanMyMac

The other way is more intensive

Once this type of software was installed and used on this computer

Start Over from Scratch

Heavy Handed ? - Yes

Effective ? - Yes

For Apple Silicon computer >> Use Disk Utility to erase a Mac with Apple silicon.

For Apple Intel computers >>   Use Disk Utility to erase an Intel-based Mac followed by How to reinstall macOS

Always make a Time Machine Backup  before  proceeding

Emphasis on User Account Only

If going this route - I suggest Not using Startup Assist to migrate everything back.

This will probably Re-Introduce ( CleanMyMac) back into the Operating System .
