That’s a too-common scam.

Apple quite simply would NEVER EVER communicate that sort of detail via unsecured SMS/RCS text message.

I received a text from Apple Pay saying I had paid $198.58, Transaction #: TRX-68D****610, Invoice #: 9N**-**78-LK, Date: 10/31/25, Contact #: 1 828 ***-**30.

I called this number & got someone with a thick African accent. She mentioned another recent transaction for over $800.

1. Is this legit?
2. Who do I call to find out if stuff like this is legit or not?
