Wich Monitor with Mac Mini or MacBook Pro desides the Display

Before buying a Mac Mini or MacBook Pro, I’m looking for a monitor that would be the best fit for everyday use—not gaming. Mostly for light Adobe Suite work and handling large files."

I would suggest a 27" – 32" monitor that has

  • An IPS panel
  • 100% or near-100% coverage of sRGB (basic color accuracy)
  • Optional: 100% or near-100% coverage of wide gamuts (DCI-P3 and/or Adobe RGB)
  • Modern inputs (DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-C (DisplayPort)) – preferably two or more, of mixed kinds. Note that a USB-C connection can carry video to a monitor and charging power to a computer over a single cable – which might be useful if you were getting a MacBook Pro, and did not have a separate dock.

27" 5K (5120x2880) pixel monitors are fairly expensive (especially the 27" Apple Studio Display).

27" 4K (3840x2160) pixel monitors are not as sharp, but you'll find many more of them, and a much wider range of prices. Some decent (if basic) ones are only $300 - $400 USD, compared to $1599+ USD for the 27" Apple Studio Display.

I purchased a 32" LG 4k monitor with speakers for $331 from Amazon and it is excellent fir my every day work.

There are many monitors out there to choose from at a variety of prices from around $100 to $500 depending on what features you want. I would get a 4K monitor for viewing photos and videos. A 27" 5k will get you into the $800+ range.

Dell is another good brand.

I pared a 32" 4K LG monitor with my Mac Mini M4. It is an excellent monitor and the colors for photos true. I got the one with speakers (didn't do my due diligence and didn't know the Mini had a speaker). The price I paid was before the tariffs kicked in. It is about $50-100 more now. But there's a 27" 4K LG monitor for $239 + tax at Amazon. There are many more from around $150 to $500 depending on the features you get. There's plenty to select from.
