iCloud Keychain Wi Fi Issue

I've recently upgraded from a iPhone 13 Pro Max to a iPhone 17 Pro Max. So a simple transfer I would hope, so everything has moved across, all apps, contacts etc.

The only issue in the iCloud keychain - on the iPhone 13 Pro Max its toggled on and also on the iPhone 17 Pro Max - it's toggled on.

But the iPhone 17 Pro Max is showing me less Wi Fi locations in the Passwords app, then the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

For context, say 100 Wi Fi locations on the iPhone 13 Pro Max (since new so 4 years ago and I travel a lot - hence the high number)

But the iPhone 17 Pro Max is only showing 50 locations?

Anyone know a fix - that doesn't need me to re login into all my apps again and add my Apple wallet details again?

I don't want to go to different locations again and again and re-enter the Wi-Fi passwords.

I've contacted Apple Support - and I tried toggling it on and off on each device under iCloud+. and restarted both devices. With no luck.

I think I've sussed it but could be wrong.

iCloud Keychain may only sync networks that had a stored password. i.e. Hotel Wi Fi, Airport Wi Fi, these are unsecured, so didn't make the cut when it transferred across my Wi Fi locations.

However the majority of the WPA2 / WPA3 personal Wi Fi accounts did (i.e. the one's with passwords).

So I manually had to add in the ones that were missing by adding them via the QR code when you go to Passwords > Wi Fi > [Network Name] > Show Network QR Code.

Took a while - as I said, I had 100 and only 50 were showing.

But hope this helps anyone that has the same issue.
