Sync purchases on iPad Books

Hi everyone, I downloaded a book excerpt on my iPhone 13 Pro Max (iOS 26.0.1), and it synced correctly to my iPad (iPadOS 26.0.1). Then I bought it on my iPhone, but it didn't sync to my iPad. I signed out and back in with my Apple ID on my iPad, but it didn't fix the issue. Any suggestions?

Assuming your purchase was done in Apple’s Books app, on your iPad, check Settings > Apps > Books > Purchases on Other Devices = “on”.
