Are USB-C Magic Keyboards and Magic Mice (non-iPad) non-serialized items?
I’m having a hardware issue with my Magic Keyboard, which should still be under warranty. Unfortunately, I’ve misplaced the original purchase invoice.
When I contacted an Apple Authorized Service Provider, they told me that Magic Keyboards are non-serialized items, and that I’d need to get a duplicate invoice from the retailer for warranty verification.
Is that true? Do USB-C Magic Keyboards and Magic Mice (for Mac, not iPad) really have no serial numbers, and is the purchase invoice the only way to verify warranty coverage?
