Video quality loss when uploading from iPhone 16e to Instagram/Facebook/X

Since launch, iPhone 16e videos and photos lose quality when uploaded to Instagram, Facebook, and X.

The same content from iPhone 15 or 16 looks fine, but 16e uploads appear dull and over-compressed.

Please check camera codec/HDR compatibility with social media apps.

Such social media sites often nuke metadata (dates, GPS etc), downscale and re-compress uploaded images and movies. Apple can not change that.

If someone sends me image/movie I want to archive via WhatsApp or Facebook, I often try to convince them to send the intact original via AirDrop, DropBox or email...
