My default home page (Google) not working properly on MacBook Air

I was trying to get the launchpad icon in the bookmarks. However, somehow I screwed up and now when I hit the Home icon (the house next to the URL) I get Index of /System/Applications/Launchpad.app/ instead of my Google default page...Help Plz!

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 15.5

Refer to Change General settings in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.

The easiest way to fix it is to navigate to your Google default page (whatever that may be, but as an example I will assume https://www.google.com) then tap the Set to Current Page button found just below the Homepage field.
