Fix slow video playback issue after iOS 26.0.1 update

since yesterday after updating to iOS 26.0.1 we now have a new issue which is a Slow video play back, when we content to YouTube with the iPhones to watch a program after few minutes it starts Slow play back, sound play back on iPhone jumps to very slow speed, I keep putting it on the normal speed but after few minutes is back on slow.I checked online and it says that try to force restarting the phone and see if it helps. I tried it several times and the issue hasn’t been fixed. Only one iPhone out of 3 that we updated has this issue since updating to iOS 26.0.1

What does Speedtest show for a download speed? Have you restarted your router and modem since updating your iPhone?

I’ve been having the same issue. Yes, my Internet is funny fast. And I’ve restarted it and rebooted everything in the house. I am still having issues. It’s been ever since that update. Very frustrating because every video that plays you have to go back and select the speed to play. And also, yes, everything is up-to-date at the moment.

I hope Apple can find it fixed as it’s very frustrating.

I’ve been experiencing the same issue after upgrading to iOS 26.0.1 — YouTube keeps reducing the playback speed to 0.35x automatically. Has anyone found a fix for this yet? What should be the next step to resolve it?

I don't think the Internet speed has anything to do with this.

I get 400mbps average on Wifi in my house. 800-900mbps wired on my laptop. No issues on my laptop, but my phone can't stream anything above 720p. iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS 26.0.1
