Mail app doesn't allow me to cancel a Reminder after being reminded.
I have a couple of reminders in Mail that keep coming up even though I've long since dispensed with them. I don't want to delete them because they provide an audit trail. But I don't need to be reminded about them any more. The only option that has existed for me is to Ignore reminder. But the option to Cancel reminder is greyed out.
I've just discovered that if I reset a new reminder, then the Remind me box appears again (it was missing before, even though these reminders keep coming back), and so does the "cancel reminder" option. I was able to Cancel the reminder, only so long as the reminder is active (i.e. "pre-reminder-date/time").
So basically it appears that the only way to cancel it is to cancel it before being reminded. But if I were able to do that, then why would I need a reminder? The whole point is to be reminded, and once I've dealt with it, I should be able to cancel the reminder.
Anyone else experiencing this oddity?
