How do I delete old versions of apps purchased from the app store?

I am trying to download the latest update of the FranklinWH app v2.0 that manages my solar power system. I need to delete the current (older) version of the app on the cloud and the old login and app data before downloading the new version. That way I can do a clean install of the new version of the app. Using IOS 17.6.1. The Apple site isn't real clear on this. Thanks!!

Unless the developer released a wholly separate version of the app, the current app will update to the new version. Nothing is in the cloud to delete (your apps are not stored there). Simply download the new app.
