How can I block an addictive app from my App Store?

Is there a way to block an app (game) that I have become addicted to (and spend way too much time and money on) from appearing in my App Store options? I deleted a few times (even got the developers to delete my profile) but end up redownloading it, since owning I’ve spent too much time and money on it. Clearly struggling to manage this myself, I’ve recognised the need to stop playing but then after several months end up going back to it and downloading again - the cycle then repeats. Don’t need any judgemental comments about will power - just need guidance on how to delete and then block to is one app/ game from ever appearing as an option to download.

The only option might be to have a family member/friend set up parental controls on your device and never give you the password to disable the controls.
