Just bought an iPhone 17 – device won’t recognize portable monitor for screen mirroring

I just got an iPhone 17 today, and when I try to connect it to my Selfie Monitor Screen SYNCO XView M4, it always shows 'searching' but doesn’t recognize any device. However, when I connect the monitor to my old iPhone 11 or iPad Air M3, it works fine. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Could it have something to do with the new iOS 26? By the way, the monitor doesn’t require Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to connect.

I’ve also tried resetting my network settings, restarting my phone, switching airplane mode on and off, and even resetting the device, but none of these fixed the problem.

The Synco product description now has a "Firmware Update for iPhone 17 Lineup". There are two files to download: the firmware update itself (intended for the monitor to run, not for your computer or your iPhone to run), and an instruction sheet.

Looks like you'll need a computer, a USB flash drive, and a powered USB-C dock to help update the firmware on the monitor. (If you have a USB-C dock for your computer system, you could temporarily unplug it from your computer, and its accessories, for use in updating the phone.)
