Watch not tracking sleep after watchOS 26 update

I have a Series 8 watch and updated to watchOS26 a few days ago. Since then my sleep is NOT tracking. I have tried unpairing and repairing my watch, restarting, verifying that Sleep Focus is on, etc. My watch isn’t too lose or too tight as I haven’t adjusted my band at all. Everything was fine until I updated. Nothing has worked and this is very frustrating. Is anyone else having this issue or does anyone know of a possible fix?

Not yet. I spent 2 weeks going back and forth with them almost daily proving data logs, screenshots, etc. The last thing I heard when I followed up a couple of weeks ago is that everything has been submitted and escalated for review and that they are aware of the issue as others have reported the same thing. They also said that they didn’t have a timeframe on a resolution and to just keep my phone and watch updated.

Frustrating.

I gave in and downloaded the Pillow app which had been tracking my sleep perfectly. Hopefully Apple gets a fix for this issue sooner than later. You shouldn’t have to download and pay for a 3rd party app just because their product doesn’t work properly.

I’ve been in contact with Apple Support and they’re looking into it. I’m hoping to hear something back, soon. Their customer service has been top-notch. It might not be a bad idea to call them and let them know you’re also having a problem. I know that there are others and the more people that let them know the better and hopefully faster we have a fix.

I got so fed up that I upgraded to a series 11 watch and am still having the problem. I’ve been in contact with Apple Support and they’re looking into it. They verified that all of my settings are right and everything should be working. They had me send a diagnostic yesterday morning as soon as I woke up so hopefully I’ll hear something back, soon. I have to say that so far I have been very pleased with the level of customer service from Apple.
