iOS 26 Apple Music CarPlay Issue

I upgraded to iOS 26 on my 15 Pro Max. When using CarPlay to play a playlist I created on shuffle, it sometimes skips from the middle of one song to the middle of another. On one occasion, it even played both songs simultaneously for a few seconds. Other than the OS upgrade, I haven’t changed any settings in Apple Music. Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

This happened again today when coming back from lunch. There was about 20 seconds left on the song I was listening to, then it jumped to 13 seconds in to a new song.

You would think they would move from beta to release candidate before the date of global release.

I was able to fix the issue by going to Settings -> Apps -> Music and turning off Song Transitions. It was extremely nice of Apple to auto enable such a feature on an update.

i found the issue in settings. Settings default to automatic transition, which works like a dj and tries to match tempo, beat, etc to cross fade. If you still want to cross fade you can turn it on manually and set the timing or just turn it off all together to fix the issue.
