my playground app wont work as it says languages do not match in settings, one says british, the other english, no way to change as its options set by apple - any ideas?

Image Playground is one of the Apple Intelligence features. There are two places you need to check:
Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Language
Settings > General > Language & Region
These two settings need to match.
