Why can't I download apps from the App Store?

I can't download apps from the App Store to my Mac. I get this every time......nothing is selectable except cancel and it will not download or install.

Downloading apps on MacBook Pro with Monterey When trying to download an app on to my computer, I get the following box "this google account is not yet associated with a device. Please access the PLAY STORE app on your device before installing apps." learn more. Well if i go to "PLAY STORE". i can't find anything there that directs me to anywhere to help me "associate with a device". what am I doing wrong. Because this google account is associated with my iPhone and iPad and working as it should. TIA Dave

Remove any added security apps and any added VPN apps per vendors’ instructions, turn off all of Focus, Screen Time, and Parental Controls, restart, and try again.
