Windows PC is on its way out and am contemplating purchasing the Mac Mini M4 256 SSD HD.
I have surround sound speakers and sub woofer on my current PC, connected via 3.5mm jack to PC. Is it possible to connect this to the mini?
FYI, the 3.5mm headphone jack on the M4 mini is 2-channel stereo out. It does not support surround sound output.
If you want surround sound you will need to use either the HDMI out or an external USB audio interface that supports surround sound. In my own case I use an HDMI audio extractor like this one.

Just to add . . . if you coupled it with a 1TB NVMe the cost would be about £600 altogether.
