4K rendered videos from DaVinci Resolve not playing on iPhone after iOS updates

4k rendered video from DaVinci Resolve are not able to play on my iPhone 12, nor on iPhone 15.

they used to play fine but ever since the last few iOS updates I’m not able to play them on my iPhone.

can someone help with a solution?

They should play, MP4 is a format that is compatible with an iPhone. Do you have another program that creates MP4 or perhaps download one from somewhere and see if those play? That would at least tell you if there is something in the coding of the DaVinci file that is causing this issue.


MP4 is what's known as a container format and can hold video and audio that can be encoded in different formats, it is possible that DaVinci is saving as an outdated format that Apple dropped support from.


When you save a file, look around and see if there are options to save the MP4 as a different format. See if it has the option to save as video being H.264 with AAC format for audio.


Are you on the latest version of the operating system iOS 18.5?
