Can I install Windows 11 Home on my iMac 27 Retina 5k without affecting speed or wear?

I wonder if it is possible to install Windows 11 home in parallel with any program and if it affects the speed or wear on my :iMac 27 Retina 5k -2017

- Processor 4.2 GHz Quad-core 

   Intel core i7 

- Memory 32 GB  2400 MHz. DDR 4

- Graphics Radeon pro 575 4 GB

- Hard drive. 1 TB

An Intel iMac should have Boot Camp, and can also run Parallels, so a native installation via Boot Camp or in a VM via Parallels is possible for Windows in general.


Windows 11 requires certain things (like a TPM 2.0 module) that Macs don't provide, so installing Windows 11 in Boot Camp is tricky and needs some specific workarounds. There may also be issues with various drivers that are a challenge to resolve.


Windows 11 in a Parallels VM should work fine, as Parallels can provide virtualized TPM chips.


I have no idea what you mean by affecting speed or wear, though - that question doesn't really make sense.
