How do I prevent auto-playing sound from Chrome tabs on MacBook Air ?

I do not shut down often so this morning I plugged the power in, lifted the lid and the sound from a YouTube video I was watching yesterday on Chrome was playing before I logged into my Mac.

I then put in my password, opened Chrome and saw one tab had a speaker on a tab, it was that video.

How can I fix this please?
