Messages app keeps closing after macOS 15.4 update

Ever since upgrading to Mac OS 15.4 my Messages App is closing on it's own like it's QuickTime or Preview. Anyone else having this issue?

Unable to fix Messages app crashing issue after upgrading to macOS 15.4.1 I upgraded to 15.4.1 today and my Messages app will no longer stay open. It's quit/poof/gone every time I go look. I've done a restart (both of the app and of the whole computer) and also synced with iCloud but it's still crashed dozens of times today since my update. Messages Not Working 2017 MacBook Pro Ventura 13.6.6 Messages refuses to load. App stops responding, cannot open messages, check or reply to anything on 2017 MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.6.6. It works on my iPad, iPhone, and older iMac desktop at work, but my personal laptop is refusing to launch the app. I keep reporting it when force quitting, and restarting does not fix the issue. Not using any third party apps or anything. Simply trying to get messages to work properly again. Anyone have a fix for this?

Messages crashes at launch on OS Sequoia 15.5 Messages has been crashing at launch on MacOS Sequoia 15.5. I've rebooted my Mac several times. As soon as I launch Messages it displays the Messages window and then crashes with the perpetually spinning disc. I cannot sign out of Messages or do anything within the app becomes it become completely unresponsive. I'm forced to use Force Quit to exit the app. How can I fix this issue?

Same here now with Notes, Reminders, Safari quitting along with messages. No message after like the apps crashed, just seems to quit on its own. Frustrating.

Same issue with messages closing when I switch to another app. Running a MacBook Air Apple M1, 8GB, 256GB, OS v 15.4.

Just got back in and 2 of the 3 apps are closed in which one is MESSAGES!! 🤬

So now we are back to waiting on 15.5

After a few days on 15.4.1 there has been no changes, messages, maps an "X" app are still closing randomly.

Yeah did some conference calls and checked on messages and problem persists.

Only messages on my Mac keeps quitting and seems to happen more often now since 15.4.1. It also seems to happen when I access Messages on my iPhone. Weird.

Just updated to 15.5 myself, I have all 3 apps open. . . .I'll be testing it throughout the day to see if the fix has been made!!
