Random black squares on my MacBook Pro screen

The standard way to separate display issues from system issues, is capture a screenshot, then view the screenshot at a different size and scroll around to see whether the defects are in the screenshot or in the screen itself.

But I can't imagine failure of the display that would produce boxes like that,

Did you Reset Fonts as leroydouglas suggested?

Please provide a photo of this happening in an Apple app like Mail, Notes, Messages, Pages.

Have you queried your LiveSQl Support for some update or known issue..

if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates…
