Cant access apple pay or any apps cuz no update on my phone

I contacted apple cuz i cant see balance on apple card then i cant access my atf app to pay bills there either because they called my phone vintage lol its an 8 plus last one with home button thsts why i did not buy the 10 and now i cant pay anything unless i buy new phones in which i cant afford so how do i pay my apple card?

It asks me to verify an old credit card that is no longer in use. when I go to “settings” then “payment and shipping” the option to “Edit” is greyed out I set up Apple Pay with my current credit and made sure to verify the card. When I go to the App Store it still forces me to verify the old no longer in service card. I have restarted my device both before and after I signed out and resigned in with my Apple ID. The app I wish to buy is only available on iPad so I can’t try purchasing it on my phone then fetching it from the cloud on my iPad.

Apple Card is a credit card. Is that the card you’re having issues with?
