My phone was updated to iOS 18.3.2 last night and ever since my apple car play won’t work. My car recognises the device through wireless Bluetooth however I’m not able to use apple car play. This happened before and resolved with an update but now I’m back to square one

my fix - it works again in the meantime - worked the following:
on iphone: delete/forget the car in BLUETOOTH. Next: delete Wlan (car) in WLAN settings. Do a Power/rest (the one with the tricky loud/silent followed by right button) stuff
oon/in car: delete iphone. optionally do a reset of the processor unit of the car (in a BMW it works with pressing the power/mute button for 30sec). At the end scan for new mobile and connect the phone again via carplay …
for me it still works
same issue here - for whatever reason 18.3.2 crashes carplay to work
actually upgrading to 18.4 and hope the bug is gone again!
Same for me. In addition to this I can't connect to my airpods. I have been trying to with two different sets of airpods. I did all the tutorial stuff like restart, reset settings, airplane mode, bluetooth on/off, etc. I then did forget devices and now I can't pair them back with my phone.
My iPhone 13 stop working in my car using CarPlay when I up graded iOS 18.3.2. Everyone else’s phone works. Even my old iPhone 11 works but not my 13 stopped. I can only use the wireless. It worked just fine before it upgraded.

I can stream music via Ugreen Bluetooth in my car but when I ask Siri to read my messages, nothing is heard via the car speakers. This worked before the upgrade to 18.3.2.
All the steps above repeated several times do not work. CarPlay will not appear on my car's media. This is so frustrating what the heck did Apple do with that system update to mess so many people up?
Same here. Installed 18.4. Phone connects to car for phone calls but will not play music or anything in the bluetooth option. Worked before 18.3.2. Husband and daughters phones won't work either. Deleted, repaired. No change. So mad!

None of these helped me. My wife's Android phone works fine, and my iPhone 16 worked fine yesterday. However, after the update to 18.5, it no longer works, and Siri does not work in my car now, either.

Same here. Tried a diff phone (work phone) and it connected. Tried restarting, tried a diff cord, tried forgetting the car and now it can’t find it at all.
I'm having the same issues - followed all the recommended steps and still won't pair
Same here. My phone connects to my car but the media won’t play. I can make phone calls but no music. Re paired, reboot. Nothing has helped.
I have the same issue! And on my phone there is no connection so I can’t get messages anymore

Same here. Since the update 18.3.2 carplay doesn’t work anymore. iPhone 15 pro is connected via cable and bluetooth. It is very annoying.
What is Apple doing about this fiasco? Anyone have any idea of a fix or work around that works?
