Goldman Sachs payment not credited after check cashed

It’s not just clearing. Goldman could cash the check, which they did, but your bank could still demand GS return the payment within 30 days. I’m not accusing you of anything but people scam banks every day paying credit card debt with checks.

I suggest calling and politely ask for a supervisor and inquire about the funds and see what they say.
