Milanese loop strap for apple watch. Cancer causing chemicals.

I wear the apple watch with a milanese loop strap. A couple of months back I noticed a rash near the wrist and then it turned to a huge black mole. I recently came across info that apple is making some of its straps with harmful forever chemicals which are cancer causing. I was shocked and stopped wearing the watch. My mole is still not going away. How can I get a refund for this band.

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 11

Replacements will never happen unless Apple lose the current lawsuit badly.

Nothing has been "flagged as causing cancer". A preliminary university study was able to use harsh solvents to extract traces of PFA from fluoroelastomer straps, no evidence of any release of PFA in just wearing at time if writing.

You can assume silicone and stainless straps do not contain PFAs. I bought a $10 stainless strap as a precaution.

You can also assume that you are in much more danger from drinking water, cosmetics, and plastic food packaging. Will you stop all those activities?

I recently bought the Apple Watch Ultra 2 (December 2024) in the Netherlands (Europe) with the Ocean Strap. I then read that it is one of the straps flagged as causing cancer. I stopped wearing the watch and am at a loss as to which strap is safe to wear. Not only that, but I contacted Apple Support to request a replacement, and they claimed to be unaware of the issue, stating that they are not offering replacements and that it is up to me to decide whether to continue using the watch. I am very unhappy with both the product and the service!
