transfer songs from iPad to Mac

When I first synced my iPhone to my Mac (running Sequoia 15.2), I lost all the songs and playlists I had over the years, including hundreds of songs that had been imported from hard to find CD's etc. Fortunately, I have never synched my iPad to my Mac and all those songs are still on my iPad. How to I do a one way transfer of selected songs from iPad to Mac (not the other way around)? Some are suggesting third-party software/apps, which I am not too keen on. Is there not a way to do this with iTunes on Mac without loosing the songs that are on my iPad and were never bought from Apple?

thanks,

Nope it is a one way sync iTunes to Apple device.

You will need to purchase either touch copy or imazing to export data from your ipad to pc/mac.
