WhatsApp does not have a direct login process for PC, Mac, Web, or iPad devices using a phone number or password. Instead, these devices can only be linked to an existing WhatsApp account on a smartphone. Devices without a phone number directly associated with WhatsApp cannot independently log in or create an account.

When attempting to use WhatsApp on these secondary devices, a QR code will be displayed. To link the device, you need to scan this QR code using the WhatsApp app on your smartphone, where your account is already active.

Here’s how to link a device to your WhatsApp account:

  1. Open WhatsApp on your phone: Ensure WhatsApp is installed and set up on your smartphone with an active account.
  2. Go to Settings: In the WhatsApp app on your phone, navigate to the Settings menu.
  3. Tap on "Linked Devices": Select this option to view and manage all devices linked to your WhatsApp account.
  4. Select "Link a Device": Tap this option, which will activate the camera to scan a QR code.
  5. Scan the QR Code: On your PC, Mac, web browser, or iPad, open WhatsApp Web or install the desktop/iPad app. The QR code will appear on the screen. Use your phone to scan this code.

Once the QR code is successfully scanned, the secondary device will sync with your WhatsApp account. You’ll then be able to send and receive messages on the linked device, mirroring the account on your phone.

This process ensures that the same account is logged in and synchronized across devices, providing a seamless experience without the need for separate credentials or account setups on secondary devices.
