Default application keeps getting overwritten

Question

Default application keeps getting overwritten

Both when opening Outlook attachments and opening up files in Finder, the wrong application tries to open the files. I have repeatedly tried to reset it using Get Info>Other> and checking Always Open With.

The offending application is Egnyte (a cloud-based file storage/sharing application that could not open an Excel or Word doc anyway).

Is there somewhere else to permanently associate MS Office files with the obvious apps?

From what I see here https://www.egnyte.com/ is as you have mentioned.

It is a Secure Enterprise File Sharing Service

Accessing the Excel files and Others , are handle by Egnyte Service

You may consider Chatting with one of their Exports

Asking them why you can not readily open Excel Files that are stored on their Secure Cloud Based Services

As at Test Run, do you have some locally stored Excel or Outlook files On the Computer ?

Can you open them without interferences ?

THat maybe a good indicator just where the real problem is occurring

It is also changing what Application can be used open Excel Files ?

Thanks. To be clear all the files i try to open are either outlook attachments or loval files unrelated to Egnyte
