Why is my username changing? What you see is not my name I sign in with, any help greatly appreciated

The display nickname was what was chosen when you set up the Apple Communities login.
Why not your email? Apple doesn’t prefer to display users’ email addresses around here.
If the nickname you chose was changed by an Apple Host, I’d expect email notice was provided.
If you want to change the nickname shown here, an Apple Host can perform that change.
