Where are the data in reminders stored on macOS 15.2

I am trying to help a family member recover some missing reminders. Does anyone know where the actual data in the reminders app are stored? ~/Library/Reminders on my Mac only has the directory DataAccess with a file named AccountInformation.plist. Where are the actual lists, items, etc??

Hey Barney-15E,

Thanks for the suggestion; however, if the data are located here I can't find them. The first figure shows what is located at the path you provided. NotificationCache is nothing but png files with what appears to be icons of dates. The second screenshot contains the "Package Contents" of the .icbu file. Again nothing with Calendar or Reminder data. The dates associated with these files are also circa 2020.

I do appreciate the info!

I've attempted to edit my calendar and reminders (added & deleted one of each) to then see if I can ID in Finder which files that have been modified. I have attached a screenshot of the files that have been modified. Not the screenshots were created by me (fingers slipped off of the trackpad). I am afraid the files appear to be encrypted in some fashion.

Does anyone have any further insights?

I agree that the source is in iCloud assuming, as you show, that Reminders has been enabled in iCloud. However a copy of the data must exist on each device because you can use Reminders when you are not connected to the internet.

I did find the directory you ID'ed above (had to look in terminal as it was not visible in Finder on my MacBook Pro for some reason). It did not have anything with data I could view. I am not really familiar with how an app like Reminders would store its data and the few files I looked at using BBEdit seemed to have blocks of text that were seemingly random. Perhaps they are encrypted.

I appreciate your help, you got me a step or two closer. I will continue my quest.
