Home app shuts down Philips Hue devices after latest software updates

Software versions involved are meanwhile IOS18.2.1, ipadOS18.2.1, macOS15.1.1 Sequoia. AppleTV/4k(3e generation)... so all latest versions. I am using primarily Philips Hue devices(lights and sensors) with scenes and automations in Homekit.

When I open Home app it shuts down all that is alive. Using certain Scenes have the same effect, using them and everything shuts down. Even using certain light buttons have a similar effect... closing down everything.

Using the Home app on every device(iphone, ipad, Mac,...) has the same bizarre effect. You must be able to imagine how enoying that is. After retrying a few times you can manage to have lights on as you want but the process to get it done is crazy.

The lights and devices behave normal when used in de Philips HUE app.

Not sure how to handle this. Help!!

I’m using the Hue App to trigger all Automations and scenes. It still works with Siri, etc . The Hue App is more reliable and has advanced settings the Home App doesn’t have. First, update the Hue App from the App Store if an update is available. Try adding your automations to that instead. They will trigger without fail. Never had a problem using the Hue App. I can still operate the lights within the Home App as well.

See also if you can resync to the Hue App in Settings - left pane (in iPad Hue app), scroll down to Smart Home - Apple Home - Settings - Sync setup to Apple Home. See if once you’ve done this if it improves.
