Message Delivery Issues after iOS 18.1.1 Update

I’ve had iMessages turn into sms text recently. Since the update I can’t text my husband just by clicking on previous text conversations. It now has decided to start sending my iMessages to his work land line or email that isn’t Apple. I have to type his iPhone number in then choose his number and not those other lines to send a message. Then after he has replied I still have to do the same thing because if I don’t it will send to his work email or landline, every time. I have his iPhone number listed as a favorite but it will still screw around with this. Didn’t have a problem till updated to 18.1.1.

Ever since the newest update came out, my texts messages are messing up! Doesn’t show new messages, says I have some and I don’t. Shows I sent a message months ago but doesn’t show the latest one I sent. Some that I saved, aren’t even there and doesn’t send messages sometimes. I need to back to prior update. Apple, do ANOTHER update that fixes these issues!!

even after updating to 18.2.1 I’m still having the same problem. My carrier has tried to help but nothing, I’ve deleted all emails and created a new contact with my husbands email and work line and when I try send an iPhone message it still try’s to send it to his work landline. So I have to manually input his iPhone number and click iPhone message to send him a text.

I bought a new iPhone 15 in dec 2024 and checked everything at store. Messages were fine. One day later I noticed a judge amount of messages missing and a large amount of photos turned into green and grey bubbles. I returned the phone as also a button wasn’t working. I now got the I phone 16e and it’s April and I’m still being told apple is working on it. Aldo my see all in messages isn’t working so now if I need to find something it can take me ages . Sounds like some people are having some terrible problems. Please apple stop working on your ai which at this point is slightly dumb and fix problem. These phones are not cheap.

What happened to you too? If you want assistance you need to be specific with what the issue is and tell exactly what you’ve tried to remedy the issue.

After my update to iOS 18.1.1, texts won't deliver randomly nor am I receiving texts consistently

How did you get logged back into IMessage and FaceTime? My phone updated while I was asleep and now it's not letting me log back into iMessage or FaceTime keeps saying error.

I am having all the same issues. And it is random. I wished I had not updated my phone.

I forgot to turn off auto update after I received my phone. I am having the same issues. This is the exact reason I turn off auto updates.

I have this same issue after the update, it’s driving me nuts! Can’t send or receive messages from android users.
