Too many verification codes have been sent. Enter the last code you received or try again later.

I'm trying to connect with a different account so I can access y developer account.

The latest verification code sent to my phone is not working and I'm getting this message for more than 6 days now:

"Too many verification codes have been sent. Enter the last code you received or try again later."

It is the second time I'm locked out from my account with something that seems to be unreliable with Apple system. It takes 3 business days to be able to reach out the support.

There is really something wrong Apple.

It works fine with AWS, Google, sendgrid and whatever companies s with 2 steps verifications. But for reasons with Apple, it is a mess.

Apple, please invest into developers and technology. Not only marketing!

Remember that the people responding on the forums do not work for Apple. We are Apple products users like yourself.

For a generic, numeric, unknown "error”, or simply unhelpful messages, I suggest you contact Apple.

Refer to this page for Apple Support features ➔ Contact - Official Apple Support

Select from the presented options until you find a solution for your issue, or see if there is a chat or phone call contact method offered lower on the page (you sometimes have to narrow down the options multiple times before this is shown). If you do not see your issue, keep experimenting with any series of selections until you reach one that offers a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.

Nobody on this forum can do anything about this, no more than you can do anything to help us with our accounts should we need it.

You say "it is not working" which isn't very descriptive, IMHO. Have you kept your trusted numbers updated? It is sending a code to your trusted device or trusted telephone number. You then need to enter the code into the device into which you are trying to sign in. If you aren't receiving the codes then verify you are using a trusted device or number. You can only enter a code request a certain number of times before you have to wait until Apple will let you try again.

This is from the section "About trusted phone numbers and trusted devices" in the article: Two-factor authentication for Apple Account - Apple Support :

To see, add, or change your trusted phone numbers use one of these methods:

● On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > your name > Password & Security. Next to Trusted Phone Number, tap Edit.

● On a Mac computer choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click your name (or Apple ID). Click Password & Security, then add or remove a trusted phone number.

● Using a web browser: Go to the Account Security section of https://account.apple.com .

If you had set up an Account Recovery Contact ( Set up an account recovery contact - Apple Support ) you can also get a code that way.

If you can’t sign in, access a trusted device, reset your password, or receive verification codes, you can request account recovery to regain access to your account. You may also wish to read the articles 'Two-factor authentication for Apple ID' ( Two-factor authentication for Apple Account - Apple Support ) and 'Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication' ( Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support ). Various sections contain information that is useful in understanding about the trusted devices (an iPhone, iPad, or Mac that Apple knows is yours) system, and how to get a verification code on a trusted device or at a telephone number.

As I said I had the message "Too many verification codes have been sent. Enter the last code you received or try again later." when I try to connect now for one week with no other attempt to send a code to my phone number.

My phone number worked perfectly fine with the latest connection I did with 2 steps verification one day before the problem happened.

I've been a java developer for 30 years mainly involved in 2 steps verification systems and I would be get no pride at all to have implemented such a system.

It's not related to iOS or any other releases: I have the problem on the web when I connect to icloud or similar web based services. My account is an account developer and is not used on any device. And yes it is first related to Apple account and nothing to do with the fact it is a developer account. The only problem with a developer account is you need 2 steps verifications more often (because we connect to different services) and yes I'm paying for this service!

Too many verification codes have been sent. Enter the last code you received or try again later.
