Photo Edit Error Message

I have had this problem before. When I try to make edits for a photo I’ve taken in the past or earlier in the day. I receive an error message when I save it. I thought this problem was resolved, but I updated my iPhone 16 Pro Max to the ios18.1.1 version, which was what happened when the problem first arose when I updated my iPhone 16 Pro Max ios18.1 version. They said the reason this error message occurred was because iCloud was behind in saving the image on the server. I’m not sure if this is the case this second time around. Please advise, thank you.

Yes. When I select the “Done” options after making edits to a photo I took earlier in the day this message pops up. See photo below. I will try the force restart option you mentioned, to see if this problem happens again.

What error message do you get? What do you mean by "when I save it?"

Are you saying that you get into edit mode, make some sort of adjustment and then choose Done? iCloud slowdowns usually occur before you get to Edit mode. Can you zoom in?

Have you tried a forced restart?

I did the force restart and the problem still exists. I can crop the photo, but it will not save the edit changes on the photo.
