Will resetting my iPad affect my iPhone?
If I reset my ipad to factory will it also clear my iPhone? They use the same apple account -email address and apple password!

No, it won't. Whenever you factory reset an Apple device, it only erases information stored directly on your device, not your Apple Account or any external connected devices. If you want to factory reset your iPhone as well, you will need to do that separately.
