Emails in Mail Folders Disappeared

Emails in Mail Folders Disappeared

I have folders for various things under my Gmail account on my devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac). They’re all connected so what’s on one, is on all of them. I don’t know what happened but the other day I went to check something in one of them and the folder is empty. ALL the folders are empty! These are things such as car repairs, vacation reservations, home repairs and maintenance, etc. Any thoughts on how this happened? Or where the emails went? Are they in some hidden folder somewhere? Thanks for any help and insight into this issue.

If your email is on IMAP server it shouldn't. Check to make sure. Go to your email providers website and check.

Who setup your email originally.

Mail-->Settings-->Accounts-->(Bottom) "+"

or

System Settings-->Internet Accounts-->Pick the appropriate option for your email

Reset you email Account

Remove your email address and rep-enter it using the appropriate option for the email address

Delete and re-enter it? Where do I do this? My email is attached to many bills and other things I receive. Would this jeopardize receipt of these items?
