How can I add a second Apple Account for receiving mails?

I have a second Apple ID and I need to add it to my 16Promax for receiving mail. When it pops up to add the password it requires me to reset the password. I have reset it using the phone and on a computer and I’m still getting invalid.

Where are you adding the account exactly?

Apple IDs don't receive email. The associated email address, either a third party email account or the linked iCloud email account can receive email.

To just add it for email, go to Settings ➜ Apps ➜ Mail ➜ Accounts ➜ Add Account.

If you want to add the 3rd party email address you use as your Apple account, you need to use the password for email account, not the password for the Apple account it is tied to.

If you are adding the associated iCloud email address, then you can use the Apple account password for it.
