Is the iPad Pro better for watching videos than the iPad Air?

I currently have an iPad Pro 12.9” 2nd generation (still works fine but slow) and looking to upgrade. I’m considering the Apple iPad Air 13” (M2) or a second hand iPad Pro 12.9” 6th gen.

However, the newer iPad Air 13” doesn’t have 4 speakers or the ProMotion technology so I’m leaning towards the slightly older iPad Pro. I like to watch tv on my iPad in the evenings and wondered if the sound and display will be noticeably better on the iPad Pro compared to the iPad Air 13”?

In addition to having four speakers that will automatically follow the chosen orientation of the iPad to maintain the left/right stereo sound-stage, the sixth generation iPad Pro also benefits from the miniLED backlit XDR display. This display is more power-efficient than the conventional edge-lit LCD display of the iPad Air - but offers greater contrast and brightness, and also includes reference modes for professional colour grading.

Other than making the jump to the very latest double-stack OLED screen technology employed by the 2024 iPad Pro M4, you'll not find a better display in any iPad.
