iPadOS 18/18.01 Wi-Fi Reconnection Delay and Files App Performance
Since installing iPadOS 18, I've been experiencing two issues that are becoming quite inconvenient.
- Wi-Fi Reconnection Delay: Whenever I lose Wi-Fi connectivity, for instance, due to a power outage, my iPad takes significantly longer to reconnect even though the Wi-Fi signal is already available. There seems to be an extra step or delay before it automatically reestablishes the connection.
- Files App Performance: The Files app has become notably slower, particularly when loading the folder tree on the left side of the screen. Previously, this would load immediately, but now it takes additional time to expand, making it harder to navigate files quickly.
Are there other users experiencing these issues, or are there any suggestions or fixes I could try? I’d appreciate any insights before reaching out to Apple Support.
Thank you!
