No Gmail since purchasing a new iPad?

I noticed that I have not had any new emails (Gmail) since I purchased my new iPad on 30/10/24.

An error message says ‘Cannot get mail’ no password provided for GMail … go to settings and enter a password. I have done this many, many times and still the error message appears (!!!)

Gmail is not my primary email so am still able to use hotmail without having to re-enter password.

However, since I deleted the mail app and tried to login again on the iPad I am not able to login to Google or Microsoft - the Google account I presume is because of the ongoing problem but the Microsoft account says an identical account already exists.

I’d be really grateful for some guidance on how to get my email accounts working on iPad again. Thanks.
